Conversations on mental well-being moved into everyday campus spaces during World Mental Health Day 2025, as the Guidance, Counseling, and Testing Office of WCC ATC organized activities that encouraged expression, reflection, and support. Through Healing Session: Usap + Coffee = Safe Space, CALM: Chalk Art for Life and Mind, and Light Up Blue, participants engaged with mental health through dialogue, creativity, and shared experiences.
The Healing Session encouraged meaningful conversations over coffee, giving participants an avenue to share, listen, and reflect. CALM used chalk art to turn mental health messages into visible expressions across the campus. Light Up Blue added another form of participation as members of the community wore blue and extended kindness throughout the day.
Together, these activities created social impact by making mental health conversations more accessible and participatory. They also reinforced the value of connection, self-expression, and supportive spaces in sustaining student well-being.
The celebration is closely aligned with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, particularly its emphasis on mental health as part of overall wellness. By normalizing conversation, support, and help-seeking, the activities contributed to the sustainability of a campus culture that recognizes mental well-being as an essential part of everyday life.
