WCC ATC personnel joined a community clean-up drive along the Binalonan Provincial Road toward Asingan in Barangay San Felipe Sur as part of the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month 2026 on July 7, 2026.
Participants cleared roadsides, drainage areas, and waterways to help prevent blockages that could contribute to flooding and obstruct access during emergencies. The activity connected routine environmental maintenance with efforts to keep public areas safer and more accessible.
WCC ATC worked alongside the Municipal Government of Binalonan, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Rural Health Unit, Municipal Budget Office, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, Bureau of Fire Protection–Binalonan, and the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committees of San Felipe Sur, Pasileng Norte, and Pasileng Sur. University of Eastern Pangasinan personnel and representatives from other participating offices also joined the activity.
The clean-up highlighted the role of preventive action and inter-agency cooperation in addressing environmental conditions that may increase community risks. It supported SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities through the maintenance of safer public spaces and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration among the school, local government, barangay units, and emergency response offices.
