The Avionics Society of WCC ATC Binalonan in collaboration with its Community Extension and Services Office joined local government offices and partner agencies in a tree-planting activity held in Barangay Bued on March 15, 2026.
Conducted in coordination with Barangay Bued officials, the Bureau of Fire Protection–Binalonan, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, Municipality of Binalonan, and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office–Nueva Ecija, the activity brought different sectors together in support of local greening efforts.
Participants planted various seedlings in designated areas of the barangay to help expand its green spaces and support ecosystem restoration. The activity also gave students and partner organizations an opportunity to take part in the responsible care of the local environment.
The initiative supported SDG 15: Life on Land through its focus on restoring green spaces. It also reflected SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by bringing together the academe, community, and government agencies for a shared environmental undertaking.
