WCC Aviation Holdings signs agreement to acquire stake in PhilJets

WCC Aviation Holdings signed a shareholders’ agreement on October 15, 2026, to acquire a 30% equity stake in PhilJets, broadening its presence in the aviation industry.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Raymond Patrick V. Guico, President of WCC Aviation Holdings, and Thierry Tea, Chairman of PhilJets.

WCC Aviation Holdings’ businesses span aviation education through WCC Aeronautical & Technological College (WCC ATC), pilot training through WCC Pilot Academy, and airline operations through Sky Pasada. The investment in PhilJets builds on this portfolio, adding interests in charter flights, aircraft management and technical support.

PhilJets provides these services in the Philippines and the ASEAN region. Its operational experience complements the group’s existing education, training and airline businesses, creating opportunities for closer collaboration between institutions preparing aviation professionals and companies delivering aviation services.

“Our vision is to connect the full journey—from educating aviation professionals and training pilots to serving passengers and growing aviation businesses,” Guico said. “With WCC ATC, Pilot Academy and Sky Pasada, we have built a foundation across education and operations. This investment in PhilJets advances that vision, creating opportunities for our businesses to grow and for Filipino aviation talent to move forward.”

For WCC ATC and WCC Pilot Academy, closer engagement with PhilJets could support student immersion, professional mentorship and potential employment pathways for qualified graduates. Industry insights could also help align education and training with operational requirements in areas such as flight planning, aircraft serviceability and safety practices.

“Aircraft expand our capacity. People determine how well we deliver,” Tea said. “WCC Aviation Holdings brings experience across aviation education, pilot training and airline operations. Together, we have an opportunity to develop capable Filipino professionals and build businesses grounded in safety, precision and service.”

Witnessing the signing from PhilJets were Matea Delen, President of PhilJets Aero Charter; Atty. Milicent Asuncion, Legal Counsel; Melissa Bautista, HR Manager; and Geoffroy Cahen, Head of Commercial, PhilJets Aero Services.

Representing WCC Aviation Holdings were Jesus Santiago Jr., Chief Financial Officer; Dr. Roger Martinez, Vice President for Academics; Dr. Mia Monica A. Bernabe, Vice President for Business Development and Operations; Capt. Benedict Lopena, Dean of the College of Aviation; and other leaders of WCC Aeronautical & Technological College.
