WCC ATC Partners with BCIT to Open Pathways for Aspiring Aircraft Maintenance Technicians in Canada

WCC Aeronautical & Technological College (WCC ATC) takes another bold step towards internationalization as it formally signs a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), solidifying a transformative transnational education (TNE) partnership.

The MOA signing, held at the Makati Diamond Residences as part of the BC-Philippines TNE Partnership Series, was led by Dr. Raymond Patrick Guico, President of WCC ATC, and Justin Williams, Associate Vice-President of BCIT, witnessed by Atty. Lily Milla, Deputy Executive Director and Director of the International Affairs Service of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and Ms. Angel Cachuela, Trade Commissioner. 

Through this partnership, students pursuing an Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) career will gain a competitive edge by accessing world-class training, exposure to international aviation standards, and potential career pathways in Canada’s thriving aviation industry. BCIT, known for its industry-driven approach to education, will bring its expertise in applied learning, technology, and innovation to WCC ATC ensuring that students receive globally recognized training aligned with industry needs.

As a recognized TNE initiative, this collaboration follows CHED’s commitment to strengthening international academic linkages, allowing students to experience cross-border learning while also opening opportunities for future study and work abroad.
