WCC Aeronautical & Technological College (WCC-ATC) proudly celebrates Mr. Joey Aldrich Almanza, Dean of the College of Avionics and Aircraft Technology, Capt. Jacob Sta. Ana, Quality Manager, Mr. Jerome Almario, Aircraft Maintenance Technology - Binalonan Program Head, and Mr. Clark Bernardo, Aircraft Maintenance Technology - North Manila Program Head, for successfully completing the CHED-British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) HUSAY Program in Vancouver, Canada.
Held from November 24 to December 7, the program—an initiative of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)—aims to upskill Philippine educators and elevate higher education through global collaboration.
Our faculty members gained firsthand experience in BCIT’s innovative programs, focusing on advanced teaching methodologies, curriculum design, and technological integration in education. Highlights of the program included interactive workshops, hands-on training in BCIT’s state-of-the-art aircraft maintenance hangar, and collaborative discussions with BCIT faculty.
“This experience has opened my eyes to innovative teaching practices that prioritize student engagement and real-world applications,” said Dean Joey Aldrich Almanza. “I’m eager to bring these global insights back to WCC-ATC to better prepare our students for the aviation industry.”
BCIT’s emphasis on practical, industry-relevant learning aligns perfectly with WCC-ATC’s commitment to producing globally competitive aviation professionals. This participation highlights WCC-ATC’s mission to deliver world-class education and reinforces its vision of internationalization.
WCC ATC extends its deepest gratitude to CHED, BCIT, and everyone involved in making this transformative experience possible.
