The group distributed 15 packages including toys, food, and Noche Buena packages to 15 beneficiary families while organizing activities for the children. The outreach combined holiday gift-giving with learning sessions focused on storytelling and personal hygiene.
College of Tourism instructor Ms. Joela Serame facilitated a storytelling session that encouraged the children to listen and participate. Student volunteer Mr. Gabriel Demain also demonstrated proper handwashing through an interactive activity using the “Happy Birthday” song to guide its recommended duration.
The activity is part of the College of Tourism’s annual outreach, which provides holiday assistance to selected communities each year. By combining material assistance with age-appropriate learning activities, the initiative responded to immediate holiday needs while promoting literacy, participation, and healthy habits among the children.
The outreach supported SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being through its handwashing session and SDG 4: Quality Education through interactive storytelling. Its assistance to families identified through the barangay’s indigency list also aligns with SDG 1: No Poverty by extending support to households experiencing economic need.
