WCC Aeronautical & Technological College Binalonan showcases the Full Electric Multi-Purpose Equipment Transporter (FEMET), a solar-assisted electric vehicle developed by students of the Aircraft Maintenance Technology Department.
Designed to support the movement of equipment and materials during aircraft maintenance operations, FEMET demonstrates how engineering knowledge can be applied to address practical needs in the aviation environment. Its electric-powered and solar-assisted system also explores a more energy-efficient alternative to conventional fuel-dependent ground support equipment.
More than a working piece of equipment, FEMET reflects the students’ ability to transform technical concepts into a functional solution. From design and fabrication to systems integration, the project provides a hands-on demonstration of the competencies developed through WCC-ATC’s aviation and technology programs.
Through projects such as FEMET, WCC ATC continues to provide students with opportunities to develop practical, responsible, and forward-looking solutions for the evolving aviation industry.
