WCC-ATC Partners with Huachiew Chalermprakeit University for Student-Faculty Mobility Program

Binalonan, Pangasinan, June 10, 2024  – WCC Aeronautical and Technological College (WCC ATC) Binalonan Campus proudly announces the successful completion of its Student Mobility Program in Thailand, held from May 27 to June 9, 2024. In collaboration with Huachiew Chalermprakeit University (HCU), the program provided an enriching blend of academic and cultural experiences for fourth-year Tourism students and faculty members. Participants engaged in specialized courses and research opportunities, gaining diverse academic perspectives and insights into sustainable tourism practices under the guidance of Professor Dao Panrawee.

Beyond the classroom, the program emphasized cultural immersion, with students learning traditional Thai music, dance, and cuisine. Visits to the Samut Prakan Learning Park and Tower, along with lessons in Thai dance, provided a deep understanding of Thai heritage and traditions. Additionally, the students and faculty experienced the spiritual aspects of Thai culture through meditation and merit-making with Buddhist monks, offering them valuable spiritual insights.

A highlight of the program was the culinary arts workshops, where participants learned to prepare traditional Thai dishes such as Tom Yum Goong and engaged in food carving sessions. These activities not only showcased Thai culinary arts but also highlighted the importance of cultural appreciation. The program concluded with a ceremony at HCU, where students received certificates and insignias, marking the culmination of their two-week educational journey.

This Student Mobility Program has equipped WCC ATC Binalonan participants with essential skills and perspectives, fostering their personal growth and preparing them to thrive in an increasingly globalized world.
