September 5, 2024 – San Carlos, Pangasinan – WCC Aeronautical and Technological College (WCC-ATC) participated in the TIMPUYOG 2024 ASEAN Conference for R1 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), hosted by CHED Regional Office 1 at Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation, San Carlos City, Pangasinan. The conference, themed "Building a Resilient ASEAN," brought together educational leaders, industry partners, and government officials to explore regional collaboration and innovation. Key discussions included the Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Roadmap by Atty. Lily Freida M. Milla and a keynote by Dr. Roger Chao, Jr., Director of Education, Youth, and Sports at the ASEAN Secretariat, highlighting the pivotal role of higher education in enhancing ASEAN’s connectivity and resilience. The event featured cultural showcases like the ASEAN Culinary Showdown and the Creative ASEAN Booth Competition, celebrating regional innovation. Representing WCC-ATC were members of the administration, led by Dr. Roger Martinez Jr., along with selected students from the Unified Council for Aviators. WCC-ATC’s participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting educational pathways for meaningful employment and fostering collaborations with industry and academic leaders to advance sustainable development and global progress.
