Skytrax’s choices for top airlines in 2017 are based on the impressions of 19.87 million travelers from 105 different countries from (more than) 325 airlines worldwide. The survey measured 49 parameters ranging from boarding procedures, comfortability, and overall quality of service.

1. Qatar Airways
This is not the first time for the airline to be recognized for its best flight services. Qatar Airways won for the 4th time as best airline worldwide (it also won in 2011, 2012, and 2015).
According to the survey, the Doha-based airline was commended by the reviewers for its overall comfort and in-flight entertainment.

2. Singapore Airlines
A lot of reviewers admired the airline for its “famously pleasant journey”. Singapore Airlines attendants are trained to serve and treat travelers with utmost caring and respect.
The airline is also famous for their personal televisions with plenty of entertainment options, hot towels served before take-off, and some perks in its economy class.

3. All Nippon Airways (ANA)
It is the largest international carrier in Japan and famous on its slide-forward-style, reclining seats (this setup increases overall privacy), and power and USB outlets. ANA earned high praise for its cleanliness, service, and safety. Aside from its positive march towards the top rankings, it also won as World’s Best Airport Services and Best Airline Staff Service in Asia.

4. Emirates
Dubai’s Emirates has consistently–over the past 30 years–been recognized as one of the world’s premier long-haul carriers.
The airline was hailed for its unique state-of-the-art entertainment system and services; such as its wide selection of video and music options, as well as shows and sporting events broadcast on television. No wonder it received Skytrax’s award for Best In-Flight Entertainment.

5. Cathay Pacific Airways
The Hong Kong based airline was recognized as fifth best airline worldwide. Reviewers gave high marks for its seat comfort, service quality, and in-flight entertainment.
Even though it fell one notch from last year’s spot, Cathay Pacific Airways retains its place as one of the Pacific Rim’s most respected carriers.
