In a significant move toward enhancing global aviation education, WCC Aeronautical & Technological College (WCC ATC) has officially partnered with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Asia Ltd. (ERAU Asia)—a globally recognized leader in aerospace and aviation studies.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), formally signed today via Zoom, marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between two institutions that share a strong commitment to world-class aviation training, academic innovation, and inclusive internationalization.
The partnership will explore key areas of collaboration, including the joint development of undergraduate and graduate programs; student and faculty exchange opportunities; co-hosted research projects, webinars, and academic events; as well as initiatives in cultural exchange, educational tourism, and sustainable development.
This collaboration also supports shared efforts toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting accessible, innovative, and industry-relevant learning experiences; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by strengthening international academic cooperation and building sustainable global connections in aviation education.
Representing ERAU Asia were Mr. Matthew Flaherty, Vice Chancellor & Head of Asia; Dr. Jack Patel, Associate Professor & Academic Officer; and Mr. Bernard Khong, Assistant Director for Student Recruitment.
WCC-ATC was represented by Dr. Raymond Patrick V. Guico, President and CEO; Dr. Roger Martinez Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Dick Eugenio, Director of the International Affairs Office; and Prof. Joey Almanza, Dean of the Aviation Department.
With this partnership, WCC ATC reinforces its commitment to expanding its internationalization efforts and strengthening its presence in the global academic community. Both institutions share a vision of fostering industry-relevant and future-ready education that transcends borders—while creating inclusive, meaningful impact aligned with global development goals.
