WCC-ATC Partners with Dornier Technology to Elevate Aviation Education

Clark Freeport Zone, August 12, 2024 – In a landmark move to enhance aviation education and industry collaboration, WCC Aeronautical and Technological College (WCC-ATC) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Dornier Technology. The signing ceremony, attended by key representatives from both institutions, took place at the Clark Civil Aviation Complex, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.

The MOA, signed by WCC-ATC President and CEO Raymond Patrick V. Guico and Dornier Technology's Chief Operating Officer Joseph M. Espiritu, formalizes a collaboration focused on providing WCC-ATC's Aircraft Maintenance Technology and Avionics students with hands-on learning opportunities, internships, workshops, and specialized training programs aligned with the latest industry standards. As part of this collaboration, both institutions will develop specialized training programs, including a new course in Cabin Mechanics, designed to meet the growing demand for professionals skilled in maintaining and repairing aircraft cabins.

Key officials and representatives were also given a tour of Dornier Technology’s Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, showcasing areas such as aircraft maintenance bays, component repair shops, and tool shops. This tour offered a firsthand view of the high standards and practices that WCC-ATC students will be exposed to through this partnership.

This collaboration with Dornier Technology sets a new standard for aviation education, reflecting the shared commitment of both institutions to produce a new generation of aviation professionals who are well-versed in theoretical knowledge and adept at applying their skills in real-world settings.
