WCC Aeronautical & Technological College (WCC ATC) was recognized at the Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2024 hosted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) last night at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Manila.
The recognition honors WCC ATC for its inclusion in this year’s World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) and Times Higher Education (THE) rankings, highlighting the institution’s commitment to excellence and global impact.
WCC ATC President Dr. Raymond Patrick Guico received the plaque and certificate of commendation from CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera, Region 1 Office Director Dr. Christine Nabor Ferrer, and Commissioner Shirley Agupis on behalf of the institution. He was accompanied by Dr. Roger Martinez Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs, during this momentous recognition.
Out of more than 3,000 higher education institutions in the Philippines, WCC ATC is among the 89 institutions recognized for their outstanding contributions to internationalization and their role in advancing nation-building through education.
WCC ATC extends its gratitude to CHED for this recognition and celebrates this achievement as a milestone in its continued pursuit of academic innovation and global excellence.
